BladeDraw is in the App Store: vector drawing where every stroke stays editable

Our drawing app BladeDraw is now available free of charge for iPad, iPhone and Mac. Every stroke remains a true vector curve and can still be changed weeks later.

Anyone who draws on an iPad knows the problem: once a stroke is made, it turns into pixels. Colour, width or shape can then hardly be changed, and zooming in makes everything break up. That is exactly what we wanted to do differently.

With BladeDraw we are bringing our first app of our own to the App Store. It is free, with no adverts, no account and no data collection.

Every stroke stays a curve

In BladeDraw, every stroke, every shape and every piece of text is its own vector object. You tap an element and change its colour, opacity, width or brush at any time. Individual points can be moved, added or deleted. Zooming works without any loss of quality.

What BladeDraw can do

  • Pressure-sensitive vector brushes for Apple Pencil and finger, plus texture brushes such as chalk, charcoal and watercolour
  • Custom vector brushes: width profile with nib, pattern and art brushes, tried out directly in the test field
  • Layers, shapes and text with system fonts, your own fonts and text on a curve
  • PDF import as true vectors, and on-device text recognition
  • Export as PDF, SVG, PNG, JPEG and PSD with layers
  • Papers and formats from ISO A to social media, plus your own templates

In over 40 languages, light and dark

BladeDraw speaks your device's language: the app is available in 44 languages, from German and English to Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. Light and dark mode switch automatically with the system setting.

Your data stays with you

BladeDraw has no networking feature. Drawings, brushes and fonts remain on your device or in a folder you choose yourself. The entire library can be backed up as a single file.

Download it now

BladeDraw is available free of charge on the App Store. It runs on iPhone from iOS 17 and on iPad from iPadOS 17, and on Mac from macOS 14 with an Apple Silicon chip.
